Biography
Law House Hurghada was established in 1995, when the Red Sea coast was only beginning to grow into the international destination it is today. From the start, the office worked with the people who moved to the city — hotel investors, European retirees, families with mixed nationalities, and Egyptians from other governorates who bought homes or opened businesses in Hurghada. That early focus shaped the way the office still works: careful document checks, plain explanations, and close follow-up with local authorities.
Mohamed Ashraf Hosny leads the office. He is registered with the Egyptian Bar Association under no. 602424 and is admitted before the Courts of Appeal, which allows him to represent clients at first instance and on appeal. His daily work combines advisory work — reviewing contracts, checking property titles, preparing powers of attorney — with representation before the Hurghada courts, the Real Estate Registry, the passports and immigration office and other government bodies in the Red Sea Governorate.
Over the years the office has handled matters for clients from many countries. Many of them first contact us from abroad, before they travel, and stay with us for later needs: registering a property, renewing residency, dealing with an inheritance, or resolving a dispute with a developer or tenant.
Practice areas
Real estate. Title and ownership checks, review and drafting of sale and purchase contracts, validity-of-signature cases, registration with the Real Estate Registry (Green Contract), and disputes with sellers, developers or tenants.
Residency and immigration. Residency applications and renewals, including residency linked to property ownership, and the supporting documents needed by the immigration authorities.
Companies and contracts. Company formation for foreign investors, commercial registration and tax card, commercial and employment contracts, and ongoing legal support for small businesses.
Family and inheritance. Marriage procedures for foreigners, divorce, custody, inheritance declarations and the division of estates that include property in Egypt.
Litigation. Civil, commercial and criminal cases before the competent courts, including appeals, and the enforcement of judgments.
Languages
Legal advice is given directly in English and Arabic, so you can discuss your matter without an intermediary. Contracts can be prepared in bilingual English and Arabic form so you understand exactly what you sign. For clients who prefer another language, such as German, Russian, French or Italian, we can work with certified translators, and official documents are translated by sworn translators when an authority requires it.
How we work with foreign clients
Document review before any final opinion. We do not give a final legal opinion based only on a conversation. We first review the documents — title papers, contracts, IDs, previous court rulings — and only then explain your position, the risks and the options.
Fees agreed in writing before work starts. After reviewing your matter, we confirm the scope of work and our fee in writing. Government fees, translation and attestation costs are explained separately. No work begins until you agree.
Written updates at every stage. You receive a written update in English at each stage — filing, hearings, registry steps, decisions — by WhatsApp or email, with copies of the key documents, so you can follow your case from anywhere in the world.
Many matters can be handled while you are abroad through a power of attorney, which we help you prepare at an Egyptian embassy or consulate, or in Egypt during a visit.
Where we work
The office is based in Hurghada and works across the Red Sea Governorate, including El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi Bay, Soma Bay, Safaga and Marsa Alam. When a case requires it, we also follow matters before courts and authorities in Cairo and other governorates. Clients can visit the office by prior appointment, or start entirely online: send a short summary of your matter and copies of your documents by WhatsApp or email, and we will tell you what is needed, which authority is responsible, and the next practical step. Our aim is simple — that every client, wherever they live, understands their legal position in Egypt and knows exactly what happens next.
